Neglected tropical diseases, commonly known as NTDs, are a group of 20 treatable and preventable diseases that affect the world’s most marginalized and remote communities. NTDs have an important impact on children, young people, and adolescents, affecting their health not only during their school years, but also extending into adulthood.
