මෙම කෝලම අම්බලන්ගොඩ විජේසුරිය ගුරු පරම්පරාවේ කෝලම් සම්ප්‍රදායේ පුහුනවලත් සුභාෂ ලියනගේ ඇතුළු කණ්ඩායමේ සම්පුරණ මග පෙන්වීම යටතේ කෝලම් සම්ප්‍රදාය නොනසා ඒ තුලට සෞඛ්‍ය පණිවිඩයක් ඇතුලත් කිරීමට ගත් උත්සාහයකි. කෝලමේ ඉදිරිපත් කිරීම, ශෛලිය, භාෂාව, චරිත යනාදී සියල්ල පාරම්පරික කෝලම් ඉදිරිපත්වන ආකාරයෙන් සිදුකර ඇති අතර එහි භාවිතා වන වදන් සහ පණිවිඩ සමාජගත කරන විලාසය, පාරම්පරික කෝලම් වලින් බැහැර නොවී සිදු කර ඇත.
මෙහි අන්තර්ගත වෙන පණිවිඩ අවුරුදු දෙකක් තිස්සේ රජරට විශ්ව විද්‍යාලයේ වෛද්‍ය පිඨයේ ECLIPSE පර්යේෂණ කණ්ඩායම සිදුකල සමාජ මුලික පර්යේෂණ ක්‍රම යොදාගෙන සොයාගත් දත්ත අනුව සකසා ඇත.

This traditional performance is an initiative to integrate a health message into the Kolam tradition without altering its original essence. Under the guidance of Subhash Liyanage and his skilled team, belonging to the Ambalangoda Vijesuriya Guru lineage of Kolam practitioners, the presentation, style, language, characters, and all other elements adhere to the conventional format of Kolam. Even the words and messages are delivered in a socially relatable manner without deviating from the traditional norms.

The health-related messages embedded within this presentation are based on data collected over two years through community-based research methods conducted by the ECLIPSE research team at the Faculty of Medicine, Rajarata University.
