The Schisto Ludo Game

The game was designed to teach school children and adults about schistosomiasis,
its prevention, control and encourage the uptake of praziquantel during mass
administration of medicine campaigns. It has been used in a pilot study at Ijebu-east Local government area of Ogun State, Nigeria to improve Knowledge, Attitude and Practices of community members about
schistosomiasis. The data from the pilot study is still being analysed but preliminary findings shows that
there was a significant improvement in the KAP of players after three (3) months of
regularly playing the game.
